The magic of being young lives in the endless opportunities and adventures that lay ahead. For young Cody these new ventures center around fishing. Cody loves to fish and spend time with his dad. Their great journeys together include fishing rods, sandwiches, tackle, and a nearby river.
On a beautiful September afternoon Cody, Chiyang, and I slipped the Fish Craft over a gravel bar and into the Snohomish River. Rowing less then a hundred yards up the gentle tail out we dropped anchor to twitch jigs for pinks.
Cody was a quick study at reeling in the pinks!
The equipment was comprised of 7ft spinning rods 6-12lb test with 6lb Izerine monofilament. The rods have a softer tip with a strong mid to low end for setting the hook. We cased 1/8 and 1/4 ounce pink and white jigs tipped with shrimp. The fish co-operated and we had a wonderful time.
The highlight for me was seeing a father and son building memories together while doing something they love.
Always Believe!
