The youngster Stone hooked a nice “slightly bigger salmon” then his dad, starting the trip off with a double as they both fought fish together. Shortly after the first two fish were landed the powers of the “beard” cast its spell on the waters below bringing up numerous participants.
Tucked into a small riverside jetty the pink salmon pulled over for a rest after making there way up the riffle below. There we stalked them with small 1/4 ounce pink and white jigs tipped ever so slightly with a bit of shrimp.
The boat was filled with laughter and friendship as our evening faded off into the sunset feeling good about our fish box full of salmon. Isn’t it great to spend time with people we love enjoying the wonderful world created for us.
